CITY HALL CHILD CARE SOCIETY
City Hall Child Care Society is a non profit society with registered charity status.
We are licensed under the Provincial Child Care Regulation of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act
to provide care for children 3 months to kindergarten age.
Licensed Early Childhood Educators provide care in a play based environment, focusing on social and emotional development.
City Hall Child Care Society is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of parents of enrolled children.
All enrolled families become voting members of the City Hall Child Care Society and agree to attend the Annual General Meeting and abide by the Constitution, By Laws and Policies which govern the society.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our Goal is to provide children with a safe, stimulating, nurturing, healthy environment that promotes physical, social, intellectual and emotional well being.
We value each child as a unique individual with his or her own background and personality;
we encourage and support them in developing positive relationships.
Our aim is to cultivate the child’s self esteem as well as to instill respect for others
While we encourage independence, we also recognize a child’s need for comfort and loving care.
We recognize the importance of play in the learning process, and offer both planned and spontaneous activities.
We encourage parents to play an active role in their child’s Day Care experience.
OUR MISSION
To operate a non profit, inclusive childcare facility as permitted by Provincial Law and regulations and to manage the affairs of the Society
by a Board of Directors
To provide an optimum level of child care delivery, staffing and facilities which meet the individual needs of children and families
To work closely with Parents and Early Childhood Educators to further the overall development of young children.
To support the education and training of Early Childhood Educators
To seek and strengthen the affairs of the Society by encouraging cooperation and support of other Child Care Agencies.
